Dr. Stephen Ojiambo is a medical doctor working in the Chronic Diseases Clinic of Ifakara (CDCI) within the Interventions and Clinical Trials department at IHI. He holds a degree of medicine and has 5 years’ experience to this job.

 

Officially Dr. Luoga joined the institute in December 2015 as a research officer working at CDCI, responsible for the family infected with HIV within a family-based clinic named One Stop Clinic.

Before joining the Institute, he worked as intern at Saint Francis referral hospital and during the internship he was trained as clinician. He holds a degree in medicine from Catholic university of health and allied science-Bugando.

Dr. Luoga started his career at St. Francis Referral Hospital after completing his degree studies, then Joined IHI, where he participated in different clinical and research activities.

He can perform different clinical and research activities, He is a co-principal investigator and participating in 2 clinical trials, he collects the research data during daily clinical visits, presentation and interpretation of data and involves of manuscript writing.

He has good skills on team working, patient management, manuscript writing and community involvement. #
